About us…
Thanks for visiting, if you are here you have found something made by us, Adventure Seekers.
In April 2023, we took a class on replicating ancient pottery, which we heard about from a channel on youTube. During the course of that year, we took 2 more classes to further our knowledge in making pottery and replication. In these classes we learned the techniques of replicating ancient pottery.
We strive to make our pots with as many ancient techniques as possible. We collect wild clay, temper for building our pots. We also collect minerals and organic material to make our paints and slips. Additionally we collect yucca brushes for painting. Rib bones from dead deer for scraping our pots, and stones from river bottoms for polishing. Then to top things off, we fire with wood in the back yard on the ground or in a trench kiln.
Another interest of ours is enjoying the outdoors. We spend a lot of weekends exploring, going on adventures, and making memories.
Let us get down to why are we here? We love the art and want to share with as many as we can. How can we accomplish this? We make pots and hide them in the forest or desert. Maybe people with uncommon interests will come across our pots. Then come here and learn about the process. With this site and blog we hope to share our skills and art with others. Even without having a likeness of mind, hobbies or skills.
We have decided to join a couple of our interests together in this process too. We enjoy hiking, adventuring and off-roading, and of course pottery replications (which means lots of collections of material). Every time before we make a trip, each of us will hand make a small pot with techniques listed above. Also, we will paint (if desired) and fire them. After completed we will be leaving the pots on public land in an area we enjoy visiting. This means that regularly we will be leaving something we’ve made in different areas. I will them write a blog about general area and what we left and our adventures there. We will attach a tag onto each pot. The card will include a note that says; “NOT ANCIENT, legal to keep.” It will also have a QR code for easy access to this site with the years 2024 and 2025. All that we are asking is, if you find one please leave a reply to the corresponding blog on this site. (EXAMPLE BELOW)

Please go to our blog page and leave a comment. Include how you found our pot and the adventure that you had. Try to leave comment on the blog that corresponds to the pot you found. Additionally, we would love a picture that we can edit to the blog from your adventure. After you comment on blog you can send your pictures to rrtprincess@yahoo.com and I will post them. No personal info required. I will not share pictures, if you specify not to.
Thank you and happy Adventures!!
