Mollogon Rim / Road 95
Goal 1: day of hiking
Goal 2: Look for Clay
Goal 3: Hide a pot
This post will be short.
The day started later as the adventures from the previous day had is a bit tired and needing a couple extra zzz’s.
On our way to hike we came across a couple of antelope. Surely we had just talked about how we thought there was no antelope here. Wrong, 4 does crossed road on front of us. We got to a destination of the day planned hike a little late and instead of packing lunch stayed close to razor and ate lunch at the razor before heading off to hike.
We hiked one of our favorite deep canyon with lots of traversing and climbing. At one point I looked ahead and informed Trevor I would be back. I saw in a distance what looked to be a very white log, I thought instantly an elk shed. sure enough, I called him on the radio that I had found a spike bull shed but the spike was about 36′ long with a G1 as well. It was interesting to say the least.
After we got done hiking we headed out just as the sun was setting. We headed to a junction in the road I remember seeing that I wanted to leave my tiny pot. One that has always stuck in my mind, for whatever reason. Headed to the spot we ran into about 15 elk crossing the dirt road in front of us. Waylon was quite excited to see them.
Clue to pot: The sign (95 and left arrow) is a good clue but I will leave this GPS within a mile of the junctions. The Sign is in picture that the pot is placed next to the post. 34.53572, -110.57514
