Hiding pots (always a main goal)

Goal 1: Warming up after surgery

Goal 2: Scenery and Lifeforce

Goal 3: collect dried cow pies for firing

This ride wasn’t just about the scenery-it was about reclaiming something we both had missing: sense of normalcy.

After weeks of healing – both from surgeries 2 weeks apart – we were both ready for a breath of fresh air again. We had spent too much time stuck inside, resting, managing pain, watching the world pass by. It defiantly starts to wear on a person, even if you know it’s necessary.

So we set a simple goal: get outside, clear the minds, and reconnect with the outdoors and the land. We didn’t plan a bog route with any timeline, we just knew we needed dirt roads, trees, space to roam and no people.

Climbing into the razor felt like a small but powerful shift. Getting dressed and loading the gear that we thought we might need was a task but completely manageable. As we entered the trail the weight of the last few weeks seemed to melt away, a little.

We did not rush. We stopped often. Sometimes to stretch. Sometimes just to look around, oh and wait collect dried copies for firing. It was rest- but a different kind of rest. The kind that restores more than the body, but also the mind and soul. Being out there reminded us how healing it can be, that doesn’t happen in a bed or on a couch. It happens with dust, dirt, pollen, and sun on your face.

The pots were left at very scenic areas and we hope you enjoy the time finding, and always remember to take a moment and look around you.

GPS to Pot 1: (THIS ONE IS GONE, RECENTLY CHECKED and GONE!!) PLEASE POST IF YOU FIND A POT WITH THE GOLD TAG.) OTHER POT IS STILL OUT THERE, WE THINK!

GPS to Pot 2: (I am not gonna give GPS but clues instead) One of the pots from this ride was tucked away somewhere special – a place built for resting bones and warming fingers. It is a place that knows and hears both silence and stories, often filled with the smells of wood burning. You won’t need much during the summer but sleds during winter. Listen for the wind up Dry Canyon, not far from the camping. If you find the right spot, step inside, look closely. Sometimes the best treasures are found where people pause to rest, not rush. Note*** the barn with owl is not the location for any pot, that is private and pots are on public land ***
